Sue's Story

Sue grew up in an abusive, dysfunctional environment, which left her struggling to trust others, feeling unworthy, unloved, and deeply alone. She was confused about what love truly was, and because of this, she made choices that only reinforced her insecurities. She found herself in unhealthy relationships, which further eroded her self-worth. She became a people pleaser, constantly putting others’ wants and needs ahead of her own.

It took decades for her to understand that this dysfunctional way of living wasn’t normal and that she  deserved better. In her late 20's began a journey of self-discovery, reading, learning, and unlearning. She realized that the first step to healing was learning to love herself. It wasn’t easy. But her entire world changed once she truly embraced the belief that she mattered and that she was enough.

Today,  she considers herself a strong, powerful, confident, and proud woman. Her mission is to help others uncover their worth, heal from their past, and live a life filled with purpose, joy, and fulfillment. As a life coach, Sue is here to guide you through your journey, helping you break free from limiting beliefs and discover the incredible person you’re meant to be.

"Healing from Within: My Eating Disorder Story"

With all the trauma and dysfunction I experienced in my childhood, I developed an eating disorder during my teens that lasted nearly a decade. Even now, it’s one of the hardest things for me to talk about. The shame and embarrassment of people knowing this part of my story make it a tough topic to share. But I firmly believe in the power of vulnerability and the impact of sharing experiences to help others who may be silently battling the same struggles.

I now recognize how deeply tied my relationship with food was to my emotions and self-worth. I overconsumed food as a way to fill the void of love I felt was missing in my life. But with every binge came an overwhelming wave of guilt, shame, and disappointment, leading me to punish myself by purging. It was a relentless and exhausting cycle that consumed my thoughts and dictated my actions.

I never sought counseling for my disorder, partly because I didn’t think people knew about it—until one day at a family dinner. I excused myself to go to the bathroom, and a family member loudly asked in front of everyone if I was going to throw up. The rage, pain, and betrayal I felt in that moment were devastating. It was a cutting reminder of the cruelty I had endured and only deepened my insecurities.

Eventually, I reached a turning point. I realized that if I wanted happiness and normalcy, I had to confront and control the eating disorder that had taken over my life. I came to understand that my struggle was rooted in a deep self-hatred, and healing had to start with learning to love myself. This wasn’t easy. It required a conscious effort every single day, but I began to make healthier choices and to understand that I didn’t need to punish myself for what I ate.

Even today, the thoughts sometimes creep in, especially when I overeat. One of the most challenging aspects is dealing with people who comment on what or how little I eat or the people who try to push food on me without understanding my past struggles. These situations can be frustrating, but I’ve learned how to stand firm in my boundaries and honor the work I’ve done to heal.

Today, I am a strong, confident woman who has rebuilt a healthy relationship with myself and food. My mission is to guide others who are facing similar struggles. I understand the shame, pain, and loneliness that come with an eating disorder, and I want you to know that you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we can break the cycle and create a brighter, healthier future. I’ve lived this battle, fought it, and overcome it—and I’m here to help you do the same.
